I will be attending this year’s 2nd Komikon. Last Summer Komikon 2012 I didn’t get a chance to attend coz I was so occupied with my work, still working on Dynamite Entertainment’s The Bionic Man. This year, I will be one of the guests along with Marvel Comics artist Dexter Soy and Kubori Kikiam’s Michael David.
There will be bunch of artists in the Komiks Kalye! For the first time, Roy Allan Martinez will be attending this event. It’s been a while since I’ve seen this man–the genius artist behind Image Comics’ Wicked! So you guys better get those old Wetworks, Grifter, Wicked, and historic Kick Fighter comics pile up for him to sign!
Oh, I’ll be occupying a small portion of Comic Odyssey, selling Jacara Zar #1, few copies digital prints (announcement coming soon!), signing and doing some FREE rough sketches for every purchase of Jacara Zar #1.
If you’ll ask about Jacara Zar #2, sorry, no issue this year. Maybe next year’s Free Comic Book Day (2013), the 2nd book will be out. I hope you won’t get disappointed coz the issue is 32 pages with 31-page story. You’ll get to see the map of Zarreebba.
I will be accepting commission sketches (PhP500.00) at the event. Sorry, no take-home for now coz I still have pending commissions I need to finish. At the event, I can only accept five (5) commission sketches. Can’t do anymore than that. Either you can bring your sketch pads, backing boards, or blank covers for me to scribble on.
Hope to see you all there!Comments Off | Print This Post

Something has been stalking Steve Austin. Something BIG. The moment Bionic Man fans have been clamoring for finally arrives with the introduction of Bigfoot into the hit series. His origins are unknown, but whatever this mysterious creature may be, Steve Austin has something it wants… and it will kill to get it. (STK468426)
32pgs, FC $3.99
On this issue, it will be my first cover to be publish for this title. This is exciting! I wish I have a preview of the version I did for this issue. Hope to see that soon at Dynamite website.
At first I didn’t know how I’m going to draw the Bigfoot. But Dynamite sent me a thumbnail layout of Alex Ross’ version of the cover and he revealed the Sasquatch. Now it is revealed!
I hope you reserve your copy now! The story is exciting!Comments Off | Print This Post
Covers: Alex Ross (main), Jonathan Lau (1-in-10)
Writer: Phil Hester
Artist: Ed Tadeo
Colorist: Ivan Nunes
Publication Date: Jun 2012
Format: Comic Book
Page Count: 32 pages

After his epic battle with Hull, Steve Austin returns to his family’s farm to reconnect with his loved ones. How can he break the news of his bionic transformation to his family who believed him dead, especially when that information may cost him the life of his father? Also, just who or what is stalking Steve from the outskirts of the farm?
I got so excited when I was told I have a project over Dynamite Entertainment. This is my first time inking my own work on a well-known comic company. I will be starting the issue of Bionic Man from issue #11 but I won’t be doing the cover for that. I will start doing the cover on issue #12, which Alex Ross will also be doing. I’m not sure if Ross’ will be the alternate cover or mine, or maybe both will be the regular covers.
As for preview pages, I cannot show you yet unless it is shown directly by Dynamite Entertainment themselves. For now, whatever the website is showing, that’s the only thing I can also show you.Comments Off | Print This Post
I haven’t updated in a while but here’s an artwork that I just practiced on for my current project. You may have seen this if you were following me on Twitter or FaceBook.
I just hope to show you more of my project in the future. I will announce it soon. And I hope you will all like it.
Cheers!Comments Off | Print This Post
